Flag Boxes for American Heros

Finished Flag Boxes that will be presented to America's Heros	Both are Soft Maple. It will dent & scratch, yet it is very strong. Not unlike our heros.	On left mostly clear maple with some streaks of heartwood
On right mostly heartwood with some adjacent clear maple	Cherry veneer for the back door	The heartwood really gives it character.
So beautiful!	Double splines in each corner, made from Cherry	Paper is protecting the glass. Woodworkers United for America Organizaton will insert a Flag.
The Cherry is pinkish now, but will turn dark red over time	A look at another corner	And another
Got to love it!	So beautiful it can be desplayed from any position	Bottom view
Close up of the catch detail and 22 1/2 degree miters	With door installed. Notice the cherry like flecks in the maple, another beauty characteristic of maple.	And for a looksy around the mostly clear maple box
	Beauty of contrast!	In the lower area, just a touch of curly
Splines on top corner, note the grain rapping around side to side.	In time the cherry splines will be as dark as the maple flecks, then darken more.	Curly maple almost at same location as opposite side, the curly is more pronounce on this side
So beautiful	Georgeous	I really enjoy the flecks gathering at this miter
Kinda reminds me of schools of fish skimmering in the ocean		May the beauty be worthy of the hero it represents!
